Our mission

We want to be a sisterly support for Ukrainian women around the world.

Russia started a war to destroy Ukraine, and Ukraine is bravely fighting for its independence, European values, and its existence. Millions of Ukrainian women were forced to leave their homes. They have moved to various countries and need support, reliable sources of information and a place to exchange views and important information. Thousands of us have become volunteers, comrades-in-arms to the men at war - we want their stories to reach readers worldwide.

Many people from different countries have helped and continue to help us since the war began - we want to show their involvement so that the acts of solidarity are not forgotten.

We help overcome daily challenges, stay informed about key events in the country of temporary residence, and also maintain a strong connection with Ukraine, to live in its joys and anxieties, breathe in its hope together.

We are a bridge for those who left and those fighting in Ukraine, healing, supporting the economy, and maintaining infrastructure.

Sestry helps keep Ukraine the centre of attention for Western partners so that they tirelessly support our Victory.

We invite everyone who shares the values of civilisation to dialogue: peace, tolerance, human rights.

Together we create new connections and opportunities to build a European Ukraine and a world without totalitarian regimes, where people, homes and countries are protected.

Our neighbours, our friends, our authors and heroes, our readers, sisters and brothers - we need you! We invite you to read, discuss and collaborate!

Standards

Our journalists are committed to adhering to the ethical code, the principles of which are outlined below:

We work to earn the trust of our Readers and feel responsible to them. Our duty is to inform honestly about events and facts.

We verify information, write objectively, avoiding conflicts of interest. We are open-minded, creating a space for communication and seeking solutions together.

We always ensure that all sides of a conflict are presented to our Readers. We are open to different viewpoints, publishing even those with which we disagree, except for racist, pro-Russian, hateful, slanderous views and calls for violence.

We care about high quality in terms of ideas, themes, composition and language.

We separate commentary from information.

We are committed to keeping the secrets entrusted to us by our interlocutors. We always inform about ourselves and the media we represent.

We act professionally, respectfully and politely both on social media and in person.
